I'm so sorry to read about Greg's passing. I knew him for only half a school year, but he and I got along so well that I've never forgotten him.

I knew Greg when were in the sixth grade at Pat Neff Middle School. We sat next to each other in English class. He was a very bright kid. What I remember best about him is that he had an incredibly unusual sense of humor, which surprised me because he seemed rather reserved. Thanks for the fun memories, Greg. I met Greg in the summer of 1979, at Lake Buchanan, TX. We owned a lodge there. We became friends that weekend and were pen pals for a while. He was so sweet. He and I, along with other kids had a great weekend in the water. He crossed my mind last week, on his birthday ( for some strange reason I remember birthdays and addresses) and I thoought I would look him up on Face Book. I am saddened that he is gone so soon. My deepest condolences to the family.

You befriended me in 8th grade when i transferred to Pat Neff. I am so grateful for these past five years when we renewed our friendship. I miss you, my Phantom. I miss your smile and your quirky sense of humor. I miss your positive enthusiasm for life. I just miss you so much.

Kameron, Kaston, Kayden. Your Dad was an awesome, wonderful, caring person. He was a part of our family as well. He was 2 of my kids Vice Principal in High School. My 2 younger boys he has known since birth. He may be gone but he will never be forgotten. He lives on in you boys. He will be your guardian angel the rest of your lives. Our family will keep you all in our thoughts and peayers for years to come.

Our most sincere condolences to the Olivia family. Greg coached our son in baseball and we were genuinely touched by his interest in Ric and all the players on the team. He was so caring and gentle, working closely with the all the boys. May God's peace comfort you at this most difficult time.

I was so sorry to hear about Greg he was a wonderful man so kind and took care of us all at the bus barn at East Central. I knew Greg when he started as a math teacher at the High School he always had a smile on his face. He will be dearly missed. I am praying for your family and I know he is our guarding angel he always was...

My heart was sad this evening when I received the news. I remembered what a great family man Mr. Olivia was when I was Kameron's and Kaston's teacher at CVE. You are in my prayers.

There are no words to express how heartbreaking it is to know that you are no longer here but I hope it brings some comfort to your boys as they read all these memories about you to know that you were truly loved by all .so here is one of mine.

Wow this was a shock to me when I heard today from my father that you passed away you was the best vice principal ever you helped me a lot through high school you made sure all the students was taken care of and made sure we was on the right track so we could graduate we are gonna miss you sir and we will remember the good days.

Even though we have not stayed in touch much since high school and college, I still remember some good laughs we had like the time several of us were at your house watching and making fun of the movie Aliens. We also made that goofy My Three Super Heroes video. I'm glad we grew up before YouTube. Also, I'll never forget your one handed touchdown catch in a football game we had at Oak Hills Terrace (especially since the other one was in a cast). I'll see you again in heaven one day and may the Lord Jesus Christ comfort, strengthen, and take care of your family. God Bless.

I had met Greg at Gold's Gym in Live Oak. I had seen him several times and he walked up to me one day and said, "I feel like I should meet you." I found out later that we had many mutual friends. He had even brought a couple of the kids to the gym with him, so I know he was a great father. Greg was a very nice, genuine and hard working fella. My sympathy goes out to Melissa and the boys, and I know he will be missed.

We eventually went our separate ways in the District, yet every time I ran into you, you never failed to continue to treat me like the little sister you enjoyed picking on. Greg - you will be missed. Family gatherings won't be the same when we talk about the 3 K's because your name was always attached. You had a presence that glowed and your smile will continue in your boys.

I had the honor to work for and with Greg, he truly was an inspiration. He never had a sour look, tone or attitude. I admire his kind heart and soul. Greg I am going to miss you and was so looking forward to seeing you in San Antonio. Thanks for your friendship back in the 80s as you were kind to show me some good tips. I'll always remember Jeep Swenson (RIP) saying to me to do more cardio so you can look like this (pointing at you) and not like this pointing at someone else that looked more like me. Greg surely will be missed at the Transportation Department. He was the bus drivers friend and he really cared about his drivers. If we needed help of any kind he was always there. Knowing that he was there to give a helping hand made our job so much easier. Rest in Peace my friend and God Bless the Family.

I worked with Greg at the beginning of my police career with East Central when he was a principal and continued to work with him through my 16 years at East Central. We had many conversations about our children, workouts, etc. I retired in August & Greg had touching words for my departure. I will always remember him and those kind words. Greg may you rest in peace. To his boys & family my deepest condolences. May God bless you & give you comfort & strength to get you through this time of loss.

Oh, I just can't believe it! My prayers go out to Greg's family and his three boys...the light of his life! He always spoke of his boys and what they had going on. Greg was such a wonderful, kind & caring person and at times he would play jokes on people. Another coworker & I gave him the nickname of Go-go gadget...which he would always laugh when we called him that. He will be missed terribly....rest in peace
