Gregory Reid Obituary

Gregory Jerome Reid, a resident of Houston, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, at his residence. He was 60.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, 2009, at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roy Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Reid was born Aug. 18, 1948, at Fort Bragg N.C. He graduated from Branson High School in Branson, Mo., in 1966 and graduated from LSU at Baton Rouge, La., in 1970. As a child the family resided in various places in the United States and Germany, while his father served in the military. He was employed by the Texas Employment Commission in Houston and then as a computer programmer with the Computer Craft Corporation.
He was deeply loved and his memories will be cherished always by his father, Wallace G. Reid of Mobile; his mother, Wanda Reid of Dothan; a sister, Stephanie Noble of Dothan; uncle, Bob "Larry" Fanning and wife, Lee of Owens Crossroads; aunts, Evelyn McKee of Fayetteville, N.C., Elsie Joyce Dimmick and husband, Clint of Hopeville, Ga., Zelika Neriman Fanning of San Antonio, Texas; a great-aunt, Mildred Kurosky and husband, Charlie of Hurst, Texas; several cousins.
