Gregory SLINGERLAND Obituary
Peacefully in hospital after a brief illness on December 22, 2016 at the age of 56. Beloved husband of Jennifer Sumner. Loving father of Mike and Rachel. Cherished son of Don and Ginny Slingerland of Niagara on the Lake. Much loved brother of David (late Laurie) and Nancy (Kent), son-in-law of Sylvia Sumner of Ottawa and brother-in-law to Valerie (Laurent). Greg will be missed by his extended family and friends in Ottawa and Niagara. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Rd (Nepean) on Sunday, January 8, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Truly sad to hear of Gregs passing
I too worked with Greg on many projects at Mitel.He was very professional and easy to work with and also committed to his role.

Jenn, mom phoned me today and said she saw the notice about Greg in the paper. My heart is hurting greatly right now for all of you.
Although we lost touch many years ago through the circumstances of life, I have often thought of you, Greg, and mom Sylvia with great love. I didn't have the opportunity to know your lovely children, but this is, of course, heartbreaking for them. For all of you.
Greg was the Best Man at my wedding in 1990, and he truly was one of the best men I ever had the privilege of knowing and loving, and you Jenn, as my Maid of Honour, also made it an amazing and special day. Our years of close friendship are forever treasured in my heart.
The world is a much sadder place without Greg in it.
All of my love, beautiful memories, and best wishes to you Jenn, Sylvia, and Michael and Rachel.

I worked with Greg on a project for my department, at Mitel. He was a very nice and helpful man. So sorry to hear about his untimely passing. My condolences to the family he left behind.
