Gregory Strickland Obituary
Celebration of Life services will be held 11 a.m. today, Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage Funeral Home with the Revs. Earl Bridges and Jeff Peacock officiating. Burial will follow in Dothan City Cemetery with Southern Heritage directing.
Greg was born Nov. 21, 1966, in Houston County to Joseph Rufus and Annie Jean Beasley Strickland. He was a 1985 graduate of Ashford Academy and attended Wallace Community College. Greg enjoyed the outdoors, loved fishing, and Alabama Crimson Tide football. He was employed by T.P. Nelson Trucking as a long haul driver.
Greg is survived by his mother, Annie J. Strickland, Dothan; father, Joseph Strickland, Hodgesville; sister and brother-in-law, Caryn and Freddie Jackson, Rehobeth; brother, Danny Strickland, Independence, La.; niece, Caitlyn Jackson; two nephews, Cody Strickland, Justyn Jackson; maternal grandmother, Rosine Beasley, Dothan; two aunts, Iris Saltz (Kevin), Hodgesville, Joyce Hix (James), Dothan; three uncles, Morris Strickland (Gwen), Hodgesville, Frank Strickland (Sandra), Dothan, Mack Beasley (Gaytha), Wicksburg.

I am so sorry that I didn't know about Greg's passing until now. Like Tracie, Greg was a friend of mine from 1st through the 12th grade. May God bless you all.
