Gregory Thorsted Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 2, 2022.
On June 06, 1969, our incredible husband, father, grandpa, son and amazing friend was born.  Greg was an amazing person with the most kindest and giving heart.  He would drop everything, at any time, to help absolutely anyone.   He loved deeply and enjoyed so much about life.  His greatest loves were his wife, daughter and grandkids. He enjoyed nature, fishing, hunting, hiking, rockhounding, gold prospecting, riding his motorcycle and horses, building, creating and making people smile. His talents were a list a mile long.  Greg could do absolutely anything and everything.   He had the most creative mind, was so intelligent, and he never liked to sit still.  His work career was in the construction industry.  He had his own businesses doing concrete work and also worked for large commercial contractors as a superintendent.

He loved and adored his wife for 24 years and fought so hard to not leave.  He had so much left to do and see, but sadly his body failed him on July 27, 2022.  He fought a long hard battle for almost a year.  He was so brave and put everything he could into beating a horribly aggressive and extremely rare cancer.  The only comfort in our loss is that Greg is no longer in pain.

Greg is survived by his wife, Donna Thorsted; his beautiful daughter, Natasha (Brandon, whom he considered his son) Busby; his grand babies, Ethan and Emma;  his stepmother/mom, Carol Thorsted; his brother, Michael Thorsted; his mother-in-law, Erika Wiessner; and so so many friends and family that he loved dearly.

He is preceeded in death by his amazing grandparents, George and Cathilene Thorsted, and great-grandmother, "Goldie" Waldron, who he adored and missed dearly.  What a reunion that must have been.  And, his mother, AnaLee Jensen.  There is also no doubt he was greeted with excitement by his dog, Aspen, and his horse, Rojo.

A special thank you for all of the love and support, from so many.  It helped give Greg the will and strength to fight so so hard and it truly made a world of difference.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Greg is a huge loss to us all.  He will however, forever be in our hearts and will continue to be an influence.  In memory of Greg, please do something kind for someone as often as possible.
