Remembering You
Your time on earth seemed all too brief
because I wanted you in my life forever.
And although I really miss you,
in my heart I know that you are at peace.
Still, countless times throughout the day
I find myself remembering you.
Although I cannot see or hear you,
I know that you are with me.
I'll feel you in the warmth of the summer sun.
I'll see you in the brilliance of autumn leaves.
You'll be beside me in the peacefulness of a gentle snowfall
and rejoice with me at the emergence
of the first flowers of spring.
I'm thankful for the times we shared
and the priceless memories too;
for those memories are a comfort now when I lovingly -
Remember You.

Ecclesiastes Chapter 3, verses i-ii, iv, vi-viii
To everything there is a season,
and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to get, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate;
a time of war, and a time of peace.

Corinthians 15: 51–57
"Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?"

God looked around His garden and He found an empty place. He then looked down upon this earth, and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, He knew you were in pain. He knew that you would never get well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb So He closed your weary eyelids, and whispered, Peace be thine. It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn't go alone, For part of us went with you the day God called you home.

To all the Pierce family, We are sorry we did not know about the passing of Gresham until we got to church on Sunday. The Pierce family and our family have lots of memories together through our years at Rockwood School. May God Bless each of you and keep you close to him in this time and always.

Paw, I am not sure that I have the words that will truly express what you have meant to me. You and Pat were the first to make me feel a part of the family. You made me feel welcome. Through the years every time I have reached out you were there. I loved to bicker with you. You always liked when someone would answer you back. I think you got a kick out of it because you knew you would win in the end. You just like to argue. Your son is the same way. You have passed many of your traits on to your children and they passed them on to theirs. If we all remember to keep family close, as you did, we will always have a part of you with us. I know I have to let go now. You will always be in my heart.
