Peacefully, in Toronto, on Monday, December 22, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Victor Matus. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Jeffrey, Rachelle Matus and Elliott Posen. Cherished grandmother of Lauren Sarah Posen. Sister of Denise Blanshay, Mildred Wadler, and the late Rhoda Ruddie. Greta will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., Montreal, on Wednesday, December 24 at 2:30 p.m. Burial at the Beth Ora Congregation Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, Dollard-des-Ormeaux. Shiva at Rachelle and Elliott's home, at 361 Roselawn Ave., Toronto, Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday from 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday and Monday from 1 to 3 and 7 to 9 p.m. Donations in Greta's memory may be made to the "Greta and Victor Matus Charity Fund" c/o the Jewish Community Foundation, (514) 345-2645 ext.: 3305, or to Baycrest Foundation, (416) 785-2875.

Please accept my very delayed condolences from the u.k. I moved house and lost contact must last November 2014. We met and became friends during my time in Montreal and often met for lunch, outing and eventsof Wizo. I wish you all peace and a long life.
