Guadalupe Castellanos Obituary
She was battling Pancreatic Cancer. Her smile was like the sunshine and gleamed with love for all the babies that entered her life. Guadalulpe had a heart filled with kindness as big as Texas and an unending love for her family and friends. God took her to His mansion. What rejoicing there must be, when he took away her Cancer and God set her spirit Free. A husband (Jose E. Castellanos, Sr.) and a daughter (Mary Jane Castellanos) she will meet in heaven. She left behind all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Leaving behind to cherish her memory is Dominga and Thomas Kupsky of Orlando, Florida; Anita Pena of Corpus Christi, Texas; Guadalupe Schmidt of Sartell of Minnesota; Jose Enrique Castellanos Jr. of Orange Grove, Texas; Sylvia Castellanos of Orange Grove, Texas; Mary Jane Castellanos (Proceeded in Death), Juan Manuel and Julie Castellanos of Houston, Texas; Samuel Castellanos of Corpus Christi, Texas; Jose Martin Castellanos of Orange Grove, Texas; Maria Socorro Castellanos of Corpus Christi, Texas; 26 Grandchildren, 16 Great-Grandchildren, one sister Josie Moreno of Iowa, two brothers Victor Muniz, Pablo Muniz Jr. of Corpus Christi Texas and a host of family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Chapel, 549 Cheyenne. Visitation will continue on Sunday, March 11, 2012 from 9:00 am – 9:00 pm with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 12, 2012 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 540 Hiawatha, at 10:00 am. with interment to follow at Robstown Memorial Park.

My Tia Lupe was a wonderful caring Aunt and I will miss you so much. I have wonderful memories of her when I lived
with them in Illinois. I was so
sad when I heard of her illness
but I knew she was in good hands. Our Lord was with her
through out her good days and
bad days. She loved her one
and only, Tio Enrique, and now she is feeling no more pain and has join her loving husband again. My Blessings to my cousins and family for their loss. She will always be in
your hearts and memories.

My mother, Guadalupe was a special woman. Everyone knew her as a woman that was always there for her family & friends, no matter what the cause.
For those that knew her she laughed and cried with you. She had to be strong because my father left her behind to tend to her family & friends.
My mother grieved for my dad for the remaining of her days.
On the day she went to be with the Lord, she came to me in my sleep and told me very happily "Minga, me voy con tu papa." I laid quietly sleeping hoping to get one last glimpse of my dad, one last time-and, I saw a hand reach for my mother and she smiled and walked away.
That was a sad day for me...BUT...I know she is happy and not in pain.
I prayed so much that she would be here for her grandson Daniel's Medical School graduation. Never say Never...she was there in spirit...and it was a momentous day for us.
I thank my mother for my birth and from that came my marriage of 37 years...and counting...and the birth of our son Dr. Daniel Kupsky. Mom loved calling him "Dr. Danny".
Rest in peace Mommy, I miss you.

Lupe was a very special person; always loving and willing to help anyone. She will be greatly missed by her family and her friends. Jose & Lupe took care of our church, St. John for many years. I am honored to call Jose and Lupe dear friends. With Sympanthy Jim and Erna Kittoe

My Tia Lupe was a kind and gentle lady loved by all .I spent some time living in Illinois with her and her family whenever I got lonely or homesick she made me feel better. She will be dearly missed by all .may she rest in peace .my condolences to all my cousins God Bless You All Love you all Delia Reyes Marroquin.
