Gundi Gruber Obituary
Gundi owned and operated Gundi's Restaurant for 44 years in Mt. Vernon. She very much enjoyed working along side her mother, Mutti in the kitchen.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandmother, Priska Schreiber.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Herbie Gruber; son, Jimmy (Diana) Gruber of Mt. Vernon; daughter, Mischi (Nick) West of Mt. Vernon; grandchildren, Olivia Johnson, Ciara (John) Schmidt, Skylar West, John Gruber and Eric Gregory; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at Schneider Funeral Home, 512 Main St., Mt. Vernon, IN, with Rev. John Hilbert officiating and burial to follow in Bellefontaine Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, September 11, 2017 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Chemo Buddies, 3699 Epworth Rd., Newburgh, IN 47630 or the American Cancer Society, 5250 Vogel Rd., Suite Evansville, IN 47715.
