Sorry to hear of Mr. Davidson's passing. Being involved with the WV State Police as a child until the time I retired in 2008, his song about our agency always gave me chills and still does.

I worked with Guy at the Wash. Co. Sheriff's office and thought the world of him. He was a great leader and friend, he will be truly missed.

Guy was an inspiration for us all, especially when he came to the West Virginia State Police Academy and sang our official song "The Green of West Virginia" to my Cadet Class in 1976-77. It has been played frequently over the Academy PA over many years. The West Virginia State Police has lost a dear friend that many of us will never forget. Thank You Guy for being our brother, too! God bless the Davidson family, you are in our prayers!

From the first time we met at the Princeton Detachment in the mid 1970's, I have always considered Guy to be a great friend. Even the off duty troopers would come by if they knew Guy was in town. A true attribute to a great man. Please accept my deepest sympathies.

From the time we worked together at SPHQ in Richmond until our visits with him in the past year, Guy was a genuine friend. He was the greatest "Best Man" anyone could have. We extend our sincere sympathy to his family, and we know he is happy in the presence of his beloved Eva.

I have never worked with a more honorable, kind-hearted gentleman than Guy Davidson. He was a trusted friend from the day we first met.
I said goodbye to him in the hospital, though he never knew it.

In 1993, during the memorable blizzard, we were away on a vacation. We anxiously called back and learned that Guy had driven over to our home and, as was his character, got out and walked through the snow drifts completely around our house to be sure all was OK. Guy, you were appreciated and will be missed.
