Dear Sandy and Phylis,

I wanted you to know I am thinking of you and send my heartfelt sympathy. Auntie Gwen was very special and I will miss her deeply. It was Auntie Gwen who took me under her wing when Pop and I came back to Victoria. As a young girl she took me for my first bra, helped me break the bad news about my report cards to Pop, gave me advice about boys and life. She even trusted me enough to cook for Uncle Roy when she went on a trip to see Auntie Ruby. We shared laughs and tears - she helped me grow up. In the later years she guided me, listened to the adventures my children put me through. We had great talks and shared much. The kitchen at Eastdowne was home to me. Auntie Gwen was like a Mom to me and I loved her very much.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very sad time. We have many fond memories of your Mum especially when she attended the many Lodge functions with your Dad.

To Sandy, Phyllis and all of your extended family: I remember your mother (and father) very well from my Job's Daughters' days, despite the fact that those days are a long time ago. She was a very vivacious and outgoing lady. Please accept my sincere condolences and my wishes that your memories of her will help you through this difficult time.

Grandma was an incredible person. She lit up any room that she was in. Ryan and I were very lucky to know her and have her as our Grandma. She always took special care to let us know how she felt and we always looked forward to the treats she would bring for us! I love you Grandma.

My Grandma... so sweet and so caring. I grew up going over for roast beef dinners with my family on East Downe every Sunday night. There was never a shortage of food and grandma would always be shovelling more food on our plates, never allowing us to go hungry. Over the last couple years my grandma and I had our own dinner night on Wednesday evenings after I got off work. I would go over and she would never let me cook or bring food. We had steak, fries, vegies and the shovelling contined:) I loved every minute being with her. She was always giving me advice on work and how to meet a nice young lady.
You will always be missed and never forgotten.
Your loving grandson,
Ryan
