On Monday, December 18, 2017, Gwen Wall (Kaufman), beloved wife and mother passed away peacefully at 91 years of age. Gwen is survived by her children Vanda Wall of Toronto, ON, Dane (Ellen) Wall of Los Altos, CA, and Chan (Thanh) Nguyen of Ottawa, ON; grandchildren Andrew and Alexander Wall of Los Altos, CA, and Jared and Justin Nguyen of Ottawa, ON, extended family Anne "Auntie" Wittal and Gerry and Leslie Perreaux; and many nieces, nephews and close friends. She was predeceased by her husband Albert; parents Milton and Emma Kaufman; brothers Boyd and Donal, and sister Maureen Brown. She was born in Tavistock, Ontario on January 24, 1926 and was raised on a dairy farm. Gwen moved to Saskatchewan after she married Al. She loved to garden and built a business as a seamstress making specially tailored clothes for clients and friends. In her younger years she loved painting landscapes and even received recognition from the National Art Gallery of Canada. Thanks to the staff at Wintergreene Estates for the care and kindness shown to Gwen and to everyone who gave her rides to church, doctor/ dentist appointments etc., especially to Gerry and Leslie Perreaux who went above and beyond the call of duty, treating Gwen like family making it so much easier for Vanda and Dane to live so far from home. A MEMORIAL SERVICE IN HONOUR OF GWEN will take place at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 190 Massey Road, Regina, SK on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Flowers gratefully declined.
