The Bishop family sends our sincere condolences to the Sorenson family on the loss of your Mom. Our history goes back to the early 60's when our families were back door neighbours in Acadia 5 Sorenson kids and 6 Bishop kids, all about the same ages. We'll never forget those innocent times and are so thankful that our parents became great friends so that we could keep making memories together, including the Sorenson-Bishop sleigh ride in the Kananaskis a few years back. Gwen and Cliff were at most of our weddings and special family events, and likely our parents were at most of yours. These pillars have been such a strong part of the fabric of our lives. It is so sad to lose them but we feel blessed and grateful to have known such wonderful people. Gwen had the sweetest spirit and loved her Cliff and family boundlessly. Rest in peace Gwen your memory will be treasured in our hearts forever.

Dear Sorenson Family
I was filled with sorrow and a great sense of loss when Shelley let me know that Gwen had gone to join her Cliff. I have such wonderful loving memories of times spent not only with Cliff and Gwen but all of you children as well. Your Mom and I first met in 1970 when I started working at the WW Cross hospital. From the minute we met I hoped we would be friends and here we were 45 years later still caring about each other and sharing our lives. Cliff and Gwen moved about but we never lost touch, I recall two wonderful visits with them in Winnipeg and and to many visits to count in Calgary. I visited Gwen on May 11 this year when she was at Shelleys and we had a wonderful time as we would always just pick up like it hadn't been any time at all since we connected. You all know how fortunate you were to have Cliff and Gwen for parents and I always envied your family closeness. She was so lovingly proud of all of you and was always happy to tell me how life was going for all the children and grandchildren. They were truly a special couple and I know Gwen has missed Cliff so much over the last years and now they are together again. It gives me solace in my sadness that she is now with her true love. I hope you will keep in touch and let me know how you are all doing. My memories of trips we took to San Fransisco, Jasper and Banff will always be there and I will continue to miss both of them forever. I feel blessed to have shared in your lives. You did a wonderful job of making sure Gwen was safe and comfortable in the last few years. Much love and blessings from Sue in Edmonton

Gwen was a wonderful person - she always made me smile whenever I was working at the Renoir. I was always in awe of her love for her children and grandchildren. I will miss her dearly.
