Hampy, you and Ruth are wonderful people. I will always remember living next door to you. You always watched over us, and I know that you will continue to do so. God bless you and your family. You will be missed.

Such a kind, gentle spirited man has left this world, but what a legacy he has left behind for all who knew him. I send my heart felt sympathy to his lovely family.

You were such a nice person. I really enjoyed the time that we were neighbors. I remember you and Ruth sending my sisters and I off to school with flowers for the teacher on the first day. I also remember sitting on your tractors in the back yard. We'll see you again someday! :-)

Aunt Ruth, Janet, Lori and families, Steve and I were so sorry to hear of Uncle Hanford's passing. I will always remember him as the quiet giant. Our love to you all.

You have now begun the best time of your Life! If Heaven doesn't yet have long fields of beautiful potatoes in full blown, now that you have arrived, I suspect it soon will!

I have never known anyone else with a completely mild personality who never seemed to be ruffled by Life. You just got up each day and did the right things! As a son-in-law, I have experienced a calm home life because you bequeathed through your genes that quiet calming personality to your daughter Lori.

I have no affinity for hand tools whatsoever, and I appreciate those times you and Donald would arrive in Bangor with your tool boxes to fix whatever Lori deemed needed fixing.

You will be missed, but we all know you are now receiving well deserved rewards from a life well lived.

Dear Aunt Ruthie, Janet and Lori, I remember Uncle Hamp with much love. I will always remember him coming to our home and his having to bend his head to get in our doors. Always impressed me with his quiet dignity and caring ways.

Ruth, Sad to hear of Hamp passing away. He was a great man, will be missed in the community.

There is so much we could say but there wouldn't be enough space for us to do so. He was our very much loved long time neighbor and friend, but really much more of and cherished honorary family member. We all loved him to much. We most especially appreciate how he and Ruth have always loved and treated Tyler and Elizabeth as their own. The world was made a much better place just by his existence and our lives were made much better having him be a part of it. We loved him so much, and will miss him terribly.
