PETERSEN Hans Johan 1921 - 2008 It is with sadness we announce the passing of Hans Johan Petersen. Dad passed away peacefully on July 25th in Mission surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his brother Pete and daughter Ann. He is survived by the love of his life, wife of 65 years, Mae, his sister Astrid, cousins in Norway, nieces and nephews, brother-in-law Bill (Shirley), sister-in-law Rita, his sons Tony (Helene), Stan (Doreen), daughter-in-law Penny (Ron), son-in-law Bob, 9 grandchildren , 8 great-grandchildren and many good friends. He was born on August 11th, 1921 in Meloy, Norway. He was a young boy when his family came to Canada, settling in Prince Rupert. After graduation he followed in his dad's footsteps and began his lifelong career as a commercial fisherman during which he forged so many lifelong friendships. A service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd at 1:00 p.m. at Henderson's Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford followed by a Celebration of Dad's wonderful life at Stan and Doreen's home. It is with heartfelt gratitude our family thanks Dr. Ross, Dr. Po, Dr. Potter, Dr. Kwan, the staff at MSA hospital, 2nd floor west and all of you incredible people at the Christine Morrison Hospice in Mission for the loving and dignified care you gave Dad. Thank you to all our friends as well for their support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers donations to the Christine Morrison Hospice would be greatly appreciated. Good Fishing Pop

Grampy, you will be missed by so many. I share with the rest of your family the great sadness of you leaving us. What a wonderful gift of love you have given to all who's lives you have touched as Cheyenne and I have had the greatest honor of being a part of.
