I was researching past acquaintances from my days at Geisinger Medical Center and came across the obituary of Hans Debartolo. Please accept my condolences, I spent two years with his group of residents who made my short stay as an audiolgist at Geisinger a very memorable and educational experience.

I just learned of Han's passing today, September 10, 2014. What a loss and my condolences go out to his family. Dr. DeBartolo was such a marvelous and skilled physician. He did numerous cosmetic and skin cancer procedures on me and no one could ever tell that I had the surgeries. He was such a caring physician as well, always putting himself out there for you. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I just got the sad news.

Hansel and I were friends and classmates at Holy Angels School, and Marmion. In grade school, we were partners on some long-forgotten science-fair project. Hans had the expertise on the science side, as his later pursuits would demonstrate, while I handled the sign-making (I would later start a 30-year career in advertising).

To the Debartolo family, my sincere condolences and prayers.

What a terrific man. For many years I counted on Dr. Debartolo, and can remember him asking me when I was in college what kind of vehicle I drove as he was looking for a safe car for his kids.

He'll be missed, not a lot of doctors with his genuine compassion...thank you Debartolo family for sharing this incredible man with us. I'm sure he was greeted with "job very well done..." . Blessing to you.
