MARINE...
Few, Earn The Title, "United States Marine"..
Once Earned, They Are A "Marine Forever"...
When they die, their Honor Clean, they stand before Heavens Gates and see two signs, Eternal Peace and "Marines"...
Below the sign Marines is a path. The Marine follows the path up a Hill to a Quonset Hut, Knocks Three Times and enters..
Inside he is Greeted by Two Marines, Colonel Lewis B. Puller and Sergeant Major Dan Daly...
The SgtMaj. hands The Marine a Quill Pen with which he signs his Name to The Duty Roster, whereupon his Heavenly Robes Fade, replaced by Standard Marine Corps Issue...
The Marine Smiles, and does a Right Face out The Hatch to The Yellow Footprints to Muster as The USMC Old Glory Division...
The Marines purpose is clear, to Fight The Forces of Evil for All Eternity, under the Command of The Ultimate commander-In-Chief, GOD ALMIGHTY...

And A Few Marines"...

Harald was a wise and steady mentor for many years, as our Banker, as a fellow Trustee of Asheville School, and as Directors of Crystal River. I always admired his calm and rational approach to problem solving. I will miss him.

Harald Hansen is an icon of sorts at Asheville School. I am grateful beyond easy description for his leadership and guidance of our Board of Trustees. I am also personally in Harald's debt as he mentored me during my early years in Asheville. He was an unflappable man of the highest integrity and wisdom. His ability to deflect credit onto others was remarkable. He was ever kind and always a gentleman. All of us will miss him, and are richer for having known him.

Dear Harald's family: On behalf of the entire Asheville School family, of which Harald was a vital part for so many years, I extend deepest condolences and sympathy to the family of this revered, kind and distinguished man. He was quite simply a great man, and the soul of integrity. His wise, insightful, calm and gracious leadership has left an indelible mark on the School, and we treasure his countless contributions to the School across so many areas. But most of all we will miss him as a beloved friend to so many.
