Dr Kelly will always hold a special place on my heart. He was my gynecologist and this month was the month for my annual. We would talk and talk after my examination because we both attended Prairie View A& M University. He truly displayed those bedside manners most doctors have forgotten. He will forever be missed!!

My sincere condolences to Dr. Kelley's entire Family. Dr. Kelley delivered my beautiful son 18 years ago. He was an amazing Doctor and human being with the most welcoming smile - one of the most humble men I have ever met. I was truly SO blessed to have him as our Doctor. His genuine compassion was unmatched! I was shocked and saddened to learn of his passing on the news but was definitely newsworthy with all he has accomplished. A great man. RIP Dr. Kelly. Thank you for your kindness.

My condolences to the Kelley family. I didn't know about Dr. Kelley's passing till after the funeral and I wish I could have paid my respects. I remember everytime I went to his office on E Southcross with my mom Sonia Hernandez, he would tell me the story of how in 1979, my mom was his very first patient and I was his first delivery. It never failed, he always told me that story. He also delivered my first born, my daughter 25 years ago. He was a caring person, a great doctor, and just all together a wonderful human being. He will be missed. Thank you for everything you did for me when I was scared in your office after what happened to me, you helped me thru it. Thank you.

I just heard this horrible news. He will most certainly be missed he was an incredible Doctor he delivered both my son and daughter. My son passed at birth and Doctor Kelley's unwavering love, compassion was always as sincere as you would expect from a man of his faith, and his humanity. I love you dearly and I will never be able to pay you as when so many Doctors told me that I would never have a child you never gave up and then in 1997 you delivered Olivia. Rest in peace my deepest condolences to all your family Sir. Till we meet again.

Dear Mrs. Kelley, Margaret and Jennifer, I cannot express my sadness at the sudden passing of Dr. Kelley. He was an absolute giant in our city, along with in the Black community. Reading through some of the submission here, I know that he was so loved by his patients and those who worked for him. From an artist´s perspective, the collection that he created with you, Mrs. Kelley of African American art is without question, such an important contribution to the legacy of Black art in our country. You elevated the works of so many artists. I´ve been in awe, and feel blessed to have experienced your collection at the most recent McNay exhibition, along with hearing Dr. Kelley speak about it. I have so much respect for both of you and your daughters. And knowing Dr. Kelley´s close relationship with my father, and my family´s relationship with your family, is just such a blessing. May your loving memories of Harmon bring you peace and comfort for as long as you live, until you are joined with him again in the house of our Lord. God bless you!

I knew Harmon and Harriet for about 25 years, through the art collecting aspect of their life. They have been an extraordinary team, with the warm support of their lovely daughters. Their generosity in sharing their knowledge, connoisseurship, and the marvelous works by African American artists they have assembled - with a strong focus on important works on paper -- is widely acknowledged and warmly appreciated. Harmon will be greatly missed, and my deepest sympathy and love are with Harriet, Margaret, and Jennifer, and with the wider community that shared his warmth and expertise on many subjects.

I had the privilege of joining Harmon´s practice in the spring of 1996 fresh out of residency. Over the next two years I worked almost daily with him, and he molded me into the doctor I have become.
Personally, Harmon has meant so much to me, as a mentor, a colleague, and mostly a friend. I will really miss his deep baritone voice, his stories, his wisdom. He delivered both my children, a blessing Shama and I have always cherished. Harmon was a gentleman, dignified, and respectable.
It was a privilege to have known you Harmon, our friend. We will miss you . Our prayers are with Harriet, Margaret and Jennifer .

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Dr. Kelley. He was a Gentle Giant and gave a lot of words of wisdom. I had the pleasure Of knowing Dr. Kelley for over 34 years and he delivered 2 of my daughters. He also saved my life, one day I came to his office after my PCP appointment and spoke with him doing the appointment that I had with him. I was concerned about my lab results that was provided to me by my PCP Dr and wasn´t referred to anyone. Dr. Kelley immediately referred me to a specialist by having his nurse Brenda call and I was asked to go right over to the specialist office. Thank You, Dr. Kelley for caring and being a Great Doctor!!
To the Kelley Family, I´m praying for strength, comfort and peace. God Bless, Pat Bean Harris and Family

I am saddened by this news.
Dr Kelley has been my Gyn since the 90's. He, along with his daughter performed my surgery in 2008, in which I told him was the best thing I decided to do at his recommendation.
He was always pleasant and personable sharing info about Prairie View, some about his art and always asking about my family/kids etc. He took his time with you and always made you feel comfortable. I'm sincerely saddened by this news and I'm quite sure there are hundreds and thousands which feel the same way. He brought so many lives into this world. He is a legacy. I posted his passing on Facebook and received so many responses and condolences for the family. Each with their own personal story and how he cared for their families and babies.

To his family...thanks for sharing him with us. You all loved him and we did too.

Dr. Kelley...THANK YOU for servicing the southeast side of San Antonio with love.

You will be missed.

I was saddened and heartbroken to learn of Dr. Kelley's passing. I was lucky enough to have him as my doctor for about 30 years; he was the best doctor I've ever had. Simply put, I adored him. So much so that even though I moved across town, he was still my doctor. Changing doctors never entered my mind.
I loved his big smile, his gentleness, his kindness, his big hugs and always taking time to listen to me & my problems, and every time I visited him, we would always talk about our mutual love for the Spurs.
To Harriet, Margaret & Jennifer, I hope you take comfort knowing that he was much beloved and respected by so many. I also send condolences to Brenda and

I am so saddened by Dr. Kelley,s death. I have been his patient for 39 years. He literally saved my life in 1997 when he did surgery and found early stage ovarian cancer. I am alive and well 26 years later because of him. He was one of the nicest people I have ever met and I will miss him. He always took time to talk to me about many topics, like the Spurs and politics during my appointments, treating me like a friend rather than a patient. What a special man he was . Prayers for the family.
