Harold Burris Obituary
Harold was a Business Marketing Teacher at Roosevelt High School for 24 years and taught at San Antonio College. He was mayor of Hollywood Park he served two terms and he very proud to serve his community. Harold's main passion was being a pilot for serval years but also enjoyed working with his hands, traveling and fishing. Whenever something broke in the house he could be counted on to fix it.
Visitation will begin on Sunday, December 11, 2016 from 6pm-8pm at Sunset Funeral Home. A Chapel Service will be held on Monday, December 12, 2016 at 9am at the funeral home with internment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Salvation Army, Hope Hospice of New Braunfels TX or Good Shephard Evangelical Church, 902 Timmermann Road, Seguin, TX 78155. Arrangements under the direction of Sunset Funeral Home, San Antonio, TX.

Mrs. Burris, Please accept my sincere sympathy on the passing of your husband. I was talking with Betty Ferguson this morning & she told me about Mr. Burris's death. You were such a positive figure in my high school years at Cuero and I have always admired you. May God grant you peace to see you through this very difficult time.

Mr Burris was my DECA instructor in 1975 and 1976. He was always kind and encouraging. I'm sorry for your loss. Thank you for lending him to so many students over the years. His life made a difference. Blessings.

Mr Burris was my DECA teacher and I was honored to be voted as the President of DECA during my Senior year 1970. Mr Burris was so easy to talk with, very cordial and extremely respectful. I always admired how well he dressed. I learned a great deal about work and success. If you're willing to work, you'll have everything you need. If you're willing to work harder, then you can have things that you want. May you rest in peace.
