HAROLD HUNT Obituary

Harold Warren Hunt

GREENSBORO- Harold Warren Hunt, 78, of Pleasant Ridge Road Greensboro, NC went home to be with the Lord after a hard fault battle with cancer.

He was born May 14, 1933 to the late Harold Gilbert Hunt and Mildred Yates Hunt of Halifax/Pittsylvania counties, and moved to Greensboro, NC as an adult to pursue his dreams of being an entrepreneur.

Harold was a man of principle, who placed Jesus Christ first in his life with his love of family being a close second. Family and friends alike knew him for his devotion to evangelizing the lost to know Christ, and for his loyalty to his church. Harold was also a steadfast companion, confidante, and advisor to those within his family and circle of friends. He was known for his wisdom, and his wisdom was shared liberally with anyone willing to learn.

Harold is survived by his loving wife Penny, his son David and wife Deborah Hunt, son Stanley and wife Shari Hunt, daughter Laura and husband Jeff Montenare , daughter Teri and husband Wayne Grooms, and son Mitch and wife Kristy Tyndall. His grandchildren include Rebecca and Kevin Hunt, Nicholas and Steven Montenare, Chase and Hannah Battley, and Gavin Tyndall. Younger sister Jean Hunt Conner, of Danville, VA also survives him. Preceding him in death was his brother William "Bill" Hunt of Danville, VA. A celebration of Harold's life will be held 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Triad Community Baptist Church in High Point NC. The family will receive friends immediately following the commemoration in the church's fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Triad Community Baptist Church for the furtherance of the Gospel, or to the Wesley Long Cancer Center for the furtherance of compassionate care for cancer patients.

Dear Harold's Family,
I know you will miss this giant of a man in more ways than size. He was a super salesman and a person of highest integrity. Harold played by the old rules, "his word was his bond". I will always remember the dealings I had with him. His belief was evident and a walking testament for Christ without saying a word.
Sincerely, Grady Patton
