A fellow neighbor on 9th and Keefe as well as a Milwaukee County Retiree, I send my heart felt condolence to the Jackson family. I will remember His great legacy... May the God of all comfort strengthen the family during this time of deep sorrow. Those who fall asleep in death, God keeps in his memory because they are precious in his eyes. Psalms 116:15

I only heard today of his loss, almost a month later. Such a loss. HB was one of the best people I've ever found to talk to. He was the one who officiated my wedding. We used to go dining with HB and Kathy, and they showed us some great places for food and drink. I don't think I've ever met anyone who was as much of a gentleman as he was. Always polite, even when debating something. If everyone in this life could accomplish as much as he did, the world would be a much better place. And the light has lessened a bit with his passing.

I learned one of my most valuable lessons as a lawyer from then Judge Harold B. Jackson, Jr.. As a young prosecutor assigned to his court in 1977 he taught me the value of calm, reasoned presentation, and he did so in a most understated, inquisitive fashion. I use my experience as an example when mentoring young lawyers to this day. When I would see him in the ensuing years Hal would greet me warmly and always inquired about how my son (who had been born while I was assigned to his court) was doing--and he always remembered my son's first and middle names! Very impressive. My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends on his passing.

,Julie and Tiffany...I will forever be grateful to you all and thankful to your Dad that our lives have passed. I vividly and fondly remember growing up as a kid in Mikwaukee when your parents lived ( Rita and Harold ) above us on 15th @ Keefe. I was told today that your Dad (Harold) passed away. I offer my sympathy in your loss and want to let you know that your Dad was an inspiration in my life. God Bless you and your families in your loss...Peace be with you as well Rita.-Randy "Chet" Woods-(Missouri City, Texas)

It is with great sadness that I heard of the loss of Harold. He played an important role in my family's lives and in many ways was considered part of our family. A blessing to so many, so thoughtful, kind and humble, it is truly a great loss. I pray that he is now at peace and offer my condolences to his daughters. Hal, you will always be loved, missed and in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. Sam, Juli Wilson & family

HB was a gift to the world and everyone who knew him. Even though he was only part of our family's life for six years, it seemed like he'd been part of it forever. His spirit of love combined with his sense of humor and analysis and awareness of how the world works made him unique. His passing is a huge loss, but we will keep him in our hearts always. Love, Roxy and Pat(with hugs from the B-Rock little boys)
