Harold Ivan "Harley" JEFFERY

JEFFERY, Harold Ivan "Harley" Harley Jeffery passed away on June 4, 2011 at the age of 80 years. He will be lovingly remembered and is already missed by daughter Laurie (Art) Low, daughter Donna (John) and treasured grandchildren Lindsay, Chad and Daniel. Harley was predeceased by his wife Audrey, brother Bob and sister-in-law Evelyn. After growing up in the Sunnyside area, Harley went on to work in the A.I. industry and was a long time farmer and school bus driver in the Sunnyside/Namao communities. Harley's final 53 days were in hospice at the 9Y unit of the Edmonton General. His sense of humour and quiet "thank you" for all things done for him (large or small) endeared him to many of the nursing staff at the hospice. The family would like to thank Dr. Philip Leong-Sit, Dr. David Chang and all of the nursing staff of 9Y for their outstanding care and support. The family would also like to thank Mary Gordon for her devoted friendship to Harley. In keeping with Harley's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 10, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Evergreen Funeral Chapel, 16204 Fort Road, Edmonton. Harley was a gentleman who will be sorely missed by family and friends. Anyone who heard Harley's booming laugh couldn't help but smile.
