I knew Mack when I worked at Swopes Service Station In the 70's. He was a great guy, always had a smile on his face.

The few times I had the pleasure of being around Mack were always very comfortable. He always made you feel welcome and that you belonged. In other words Mack was just a very nice person who I know from my own experience will be infinitely missed by his family. May love and condolences be with you in this challenging time.

My dad was never content to let the day pass him by, and he always got things done, whether it was raising a garden or raising three kids. He was as old-school Oklahoma "country" as it gets, and he didn't often show his feelings. He didn't have to. We know how deeply he loved us, he showed it every day and every time he talked to us. Life gets harder as you get older and your loved ones pass away. My life just got a little harder, with the realization that he won't be there for me to visit in Johnson City. The tower of strength, the man who couldn't sit still, has disappeared from my life. But whatever I've become and been able to do in life, I owe largely to Mack, and I'll think about him every day, remembering that good, unpretentious man; that quiet, strong love that he gave so freely, asking nothing in return.
