Harold L. Schwartz

I never had the pleasure of meeting him, but delighted in all of the stories about him as told by his granddaughter, Mindy. My thoughts are with you all.

Harold and Dorothy were like second grandparents to Katie, Haley and Devin for 16 years, and the best next-door neighbors anyone could wish for. I'm grateful for the many wonderful memories we have of Branson Street and the Schwartzes, and the many times Harold came to our aid -- like when our house suddenly turned icy cold the first winter after we moved in, and Harold informed us we had an oil furnace and the tank had run dry. Who knew? Our kids grew up believing there was nothing Harold didn't know or couldn't do, and his kindness and generosity to our family were boundless. He epitomized the best of Morningside, and we will miss him.

Harold will always be in our thoughts every day when we walk Aengus down Branson Street. He was a good man and a wonderful neighbor.
