Harold Tausend

Even though years have gone by with Dr. Tausend's passing, a reminder came up on my email.
I worked with Dr. Tausend at NASA/JSC for 10 years. He was so kind and sweet with such a beautiful spirit. Dr. Tausend was the only one who was able to diagnose me with asthma. All other doctors I had seen would tell me that I had bronchitis. I thoroughly enjoyed working with him on a day to day basis. He was always in my office first think in the morning with a cup of coffee and a kiss on the cheek. I truly do miss him.

Dr. Tausend was my Dr. at NASA for many years. He was very loving, gentle man who I have very fond memories of. God bless his family & friends! The love we get from special people like him warms my heart.

Dr. Tausend was my favorite doctor at the NASA clinic. He was always caring and loving. His calm manner was comforting. It was clear he loved being a doctor and was so personal and kind to his patients. I feel very blessed to have had the opportunity to know this wonderful man. My sincere condolences to the family.

Dear family and friends of Dr Tausend, we wish to send our sympathy and prayers to you. I worked with Dr T for many years in the JSC clinic so my husband and I have good memories of him. He was a caring and generouse person who will be missed by many.

The Howard family -- Scotty, Marietta, Liz, Andy, and their parents -- will always remember their neighbor, Dr. Tausend, with admiration and high regard.

The family of Carson & Margaret Williams mourns the loss of one of the truly great ones! We all loved him so much. He was a beautiful man.

Dear Tausend Family, Jack was such a precious friend to my parents, his neighbors John and Marie Manry. They walked every morning for many years and he was a faithful friend to my dad. I am sure their walks included their shared memories of The War. Jack probably saved my dad's life when he had a heart attack. He drove him to the ER and made sure he was taken care of. My husband and I got to know Jack as my dad's illness progressed. He was such a wonderful man, full of fun, and compassion. It was an honor and a privilege to know him. God bless you all. Dr. Tausend is one of the greatest gentlemen I've ever known. Kind, funny and gracious, he - and Mrs. Tausend - welcomed my folks to Houston and became important parts of our lives. Dr. Tausend became a family friend while working at the NASA JSC clinic. My mother, Joyce Mason, was an RN there and they shared an appreciate of fine art. As an employee at JSC, I also got to know Dr. T. He was a light of kindness and caring every time I saw him, and we will all miss his presence in our lives.

We met Jack through Marjorie and feel honored to have known him. He always had a smile and something positive to say to everyone. His wry sense of humor and interest in the world around him made him an excellent dinner partner and friend. We will all miss him.

Jack was a great friend to my aunt and uncle Hazel & Nick Deanovich and to my parents Bob & Lora Finn. He became a dear friend to us when we moved to Houston in 1990 as well and we have many wonderful memories of him. A truely fine and wonderful gentleman. A honor to have known him.
