Mr.and Mrs. Welch lived next door to our family when I was growing up. Their family brought so much joy to our lives, including Wendy and the donkey, Jessie, their horses, poodles and cats. Mr. Welch always had a twinkle in his eye and was very kind to our family. Thank you, Mr. Welch, and see you in heaven.

Hal drove his Prairie Schooner throughout the southwest and sold many thousands of our "Cactus Eggs" on his way. He was a good customer and good friend. We will miss him.

I felt honored to spend holidays, and other times, with this wonderful man. As Steve Delgado's bride, I got to hear many stories of the times he had with Hal, Mrs. Welch, and his two children, especially Matt. Partners in crime, they were. I will always remember Hal and his graciousness, and humor. God's Blessings to the family as they enter a new chapter in their lives.

What a kind and thoughtful gentleman. Although it has been some time since seeing Hal, I fondly remember spending many hours with him in meditation class. He became a friend and role model at the time. Many sympathies to Matt and family. You were so lucky to have him with you. Katherine and Wayne Locke

I have many wonderful memories of Harry. One in particular was the early morning of Nov. 7, 1978 when Harry and I spent the early morning hours hanging signs at the polling places for his son Matt, who was running for state representative. It was election day. The project took five hours and gave me the opportunity to get to know Harry well. He was full of ideas and knew how to successfully get things done. We had a lot of good times together. He loved to hear my accounts of the Muscular Dystrophy Association telethon on Labor Day evenings. His wife Nancy and children Matt and Julie were close friends, too. Many years ago the Greek poet Sophocles wrote, "One must wait until the evening to see how splendid the day has been." Harry can look at us from heaven and say the day has been splendid.

I really loved Hal, your beloved father. He was kind, giving, with a heart of gold, and loved his family above all. A gentle, humble man, he worked very hard to make a living for his family, and was a loyal husband to his wife Nancy, father to his children Matt, Jon and Julie, and grandfather and uncle to many adoring grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
I felt blessed to meet Hal, on his walks with Matt, and Good Girl(GG), with his kind, smiling face, wisdom, and humility.
May G-d protect his gentle good soul, and send healing and love and protection to his beloved children Matt, Jon, and Julie, and grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
