A good and kind man and a fine banker. I enjoyed my interaction with Hal when working with Hugh Hardy in the Bank's marketing department in Montreal. They don't make bankers like Hal any longer.

We extend our sincere sympathies to Hal's family. We are the better for having known him from early days in Moose Jaw and the many contributions he made to so many over his lifetime. He has left an amazing example of how to contribute to one's community. All of us Moose Javians here in Ottawa honor his memory.

Hal Wyatt was a name I first heard described fondly by my dad, Fred while I was in school. When I later had direct contact with him through my employment with the bank, I learned first hand what a great person he was.
He'll be missed by many of his former colleagues in and out of the bank and as a remarkable Canadian.
Janie & I are unable to attend the memorial service but send our condolences to the extended Wyatt family.

My heart is with all of you on this sad occasion. Paul & I had the pleasure of meeting Hal for the first time in Saskatoon. He was very welcoming & comfortable to talk with. We feel very privileged to have been able to attend his book launch in Calgary & we are delighted to own a signed copy. We will always treasure his book. We only knew Hal for a short time, but he made a lasting impression on us. He was a very accomplished yet humble man, who always remembered his Saskatchewan roots. So thankful he was in our lives. Our deepest sympathies to the Wyatt family. He will be missed but he will now be in the arms of his beloved Marnie.

Hal was a great person who never forgot his roots as a Moose Jaw boy. When as Manager of Moose Jaw branch, I had the pleasure of meeting Hal's Mom and Dad on many occasions when they visited the branch. They were a delightful couple and so proud of their son. Although Hal had a very busy schedule he visited his family often. Later, I reported to Hal when I was in a Development role in Regina.
Hal and Marnie were our role models in the bank. Jean and I extend our sincere sympathy to his family.

Hal was truly an inspiration to all who knew him. He was always positive and truly made all around him appreciate life, and Calgary and Alberta and Canada. I told him it always made me very proud when someone would mistakenly call me Hal Wyatt - he reciprocated and said he felt the same when he was mistakenly called Hal Walker - (... now that's a gentleman!) Maddie and I will miss you Hal.

In the 1950's Hal & Marnie were often guests at Sunday dinner along with other Royal Bankers(and sometimes other bankers). That friendship endured for many many years. Wherever they might be there was always a Cristmas card and a note from Marnie & Hal on my mother's mantel until she passed away. My condolences to the Wyatt family.

There is one word to describe Hal, AMAZING. He always had open arms for a big hug when I would visit. I am so lucky to have met you many years ago and I will never forget your gentleness and kindness. To Andrea and family, this is a sad time but oh the memories...priceless!!

Hal was inducted to our Wall of Excellence at Central Collegiate (his former high school) in June of 2012. We met Hal only a few times but he made a profound impact on our students and staff. He was a kind, caring and sincere individual with a great sense of humour. I will always remember his induction speech during which he engaged everyone in the room; a true gentleman and humanitarian. On behalf of Central Collegiate in Moose Jaw, please accept our deepest condolences.

It's a small world and hockey connects many Canadians. When my Dad worked for Hal in Montreal he treated us to tickets for my first NHL game at The Forum.

Many years later I had the opportunity to coach the Cottingham boys at hockey in Toronto.

Six degrees of separation for a good man - Hal Wyatt - whose legacy lives on.

our days in Montreal.

What a tragic loss for the Wyatt family, our community and Canada. Our world is a lesser place without the consideration and humility that Hal always showed to others. You are in our thoughts during this difficult time.

Dear Andrea and family: What a wonderful man your father and grampa was. He and Marnie were role models for David and me and such inspiring mentors during our time at the Royal. Hal was always encouraging and his strength lent strength to others - He had presence! He will be deeply missed on this plane, but Hal is soaring into his new adventure with Marnie by his side.
We send love and strength to you Andrea and to the family.
Unfortunately we'll be out of the country for the celebration of Hal's life, but our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Andrea and family: It was a pleasure to reconnect with Hal in the hospital in my role as chaplain, after having worked with him 20 years ago. Hal, through his work and his personality and warmth -- left the world a better place. A job well done!

My heart-felt condolences to the Wyatt family. He was a close friend of my parents, but my own memory is of someone who took time to coach me in making career choices. He had such genuine interest in people and exhibited such humility. He was one of a kind. Anyone who crossed paths with Hal Wyatt was fortunate indeed.

This man was one for the ages, powerful, gentle, principled and accomplished. His legacy is long and strong, and continues in the lives of his truly exceptional children and grandchildren, whom we are fortunate to know first hand. One can surely say the world is a better place for his presence, which is a profound reminder to us all of the power of one.
