My thoughts are with the whole family on the loss of Harris.
37 years have passed since I first worked for and with Harris at the Ranchman's and I remember the great times and fun we had. It was also there that I met my wife 35 years ago. When we celebrated our 25th anniversary, it was at the Ranchman's, and I had the great opportunity to see Harris again and reminisce about the old days.
He will be sadly missed.

Let the sunlight play
Across the melodies of memory
As it hears the tune of loss
And finds the notes of healing.

Harris always loved the excitement of Interior and Exterior changes. These changes would happen overnight. Dance floors would be moved from one end of the Bar to the other side, so when you came into the RANCHMAN'S it was a complete new look and he just loved doing this. I worked with him doing some of these changes to the Interior Decor and to the changes of the Exteriors and I noticed Harris was always thrilled about any new ideas. My Heart is still and always will be at The RANCHMAN'S .. This was from 1983 to 1986. Best years of my Life. In 1983 we decided to open the General Store at the front corner. We created T-shirts and Satin Black Jackets with The RANCHMAN'S Embroidery on the back. During the Calgary Stampede. We really had sooooo much Fun doing this together for his customers. He was always up for any new ideas.! We arranged and put on a Western Fashion Show in 1991 with -IAN TYSON - singing and this show was for a Child Abuse Society. The Society was given thousands of dollars after, they were so pleased. We even worked together creating The Cantina Restaurant and Bar in High River. So Harris will be so missed by me and every person that met him. He was always helping people with there life or with giving them jobs. Making sure everyone has a great and a better life. Love you Harris and I always will and I will be thinking about all our great times we had together. Rest In Pease in "Cowboy Heaven" now. .. LOVE - CARA WILSON. ❤❤

So many memories coming to mind from my time with Harris and Lynette, Wendy, Missy and Kim, David, Kai and Gail and many many others close friends and customers and Harris allowed me to be part of it all taking me under his wing. I didn't listen so well back then but your kindness to me from all members of your family and close people around you did impact me and I am so much better for having known you. It took a short while but my life is so much better because of you folks. Thank you to you and your family for trying very hard with me as a young adult and caring for me and allowing me to be part of The Ranchman's team and family. RIP Harris. My sincere condolences to the family and Wendy and Colin Murray as well Kevin Baker.
