Harrison Palczynski

"Man down!" One of our brother's favorite sayings. On 09/01/25, Harrison James Palczynski passed away in the early morning hours. Harry was born on 11/17/1985, the year of the Chicago Bears. Harry loved telling the story of the day he was born, where the Bears played and actually won 44-0. From this day forward, this became Harry's favorite team.

Harry grew up being a bright, curious, but most of all a very complex kid. At a very young age, he was building potato launchers from PVC pipes and concocting his own experiments in his childhood home. His curiosity would get the best of him, always having the tendency to fly too close to the sun. He continued to bear this quality as he got older. He was complex to say the least, but the world's complexity had a way of challenging him. He had so much to offer but never believed he had a purpose. Yet no matter where he was, he always managed to have fun. We like to think that was his purpose, to let the world know you don't need to be perfect to have fun. He had the love for fishing, his turtle (Bubba), and playing card games. He always liked to say, "Care to make a wager?" Nobody would have wagered he'd leave us all so soon. To remember him is to remember how much he loved nature, which was shown through his love for horticulture. Remember him being a diehard Bears fan and always rocking out to Tom Petty. But most importantly, always remembering that even though he couldn't show it at times, he loved his friends and family the most. Tom Petty famously sang, "I'm learning to fly, but I ain't got wings." As Harry's family, we knew that to be him. Now, he's got those wings. We hope you are pain-free and are finally at peace, Hairball. Hug Mom for us when you see her.

Harry was a loving uncle to: Hadleigh Palczynski, Xander Palczynski, Julien Healy, and Penelope Healy. Harry is survived by his siblings: Sara Palczynski, Alexander Palczynski, Zachary (Aschli) Palczynski, Frances Palczynski, Rosemary (Ian) Salvatini, and Charlotte (Lucas) Healy.

A Memorial Service will be held on September 27, 2025, from 02:00 PM to 07:00 PM at Salvatini Residence 1183 Cedar Ave. Elgin, IL 60120.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to: National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Northwest Suburbs Chicago, in memory of Harrison.
