Harry L. Barker

MARSHFIELD — Harry L. Barker of Marshfield, formerly of West Yarmouth and Needham, died Oct. l4, 2008, at the age of 62.

Harry was the son of the late John R. and Cathryn J. (Albro) Barker; dear brother of Cathryn J. Barker of Marshfield, Suzanne Oldmixon and her late husband, William of Weymouth, the late Joan Shaw and her husband, Paul of Littleton, N.H., Molly Shaw and her husband, Robert of Marshfield, John R. Barker Jr. and his wife, Cathy of West Yarmouth, Julie Cantelli and her husband, Stephen of Quincy, Thomas C. Barker and his wife, Patricia of Epson, N.H.. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Born in Boston, Harry graduated from Needham High School. He was a retired buyer for numerous electronics firms and was active in Needham Little League, a town meeting member in Needham, a volunteer on the Cape Cod Baseball League - Y.D. Red Sox, and a volunteer for the MS society. He had worked on the Cape in the family business.

A funeral will be held from the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Route 139, Marshfield, on Monday, at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in St. Ann by The Sea Church, at 10 a.m. Visiting hours are Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. Interment is in Winslow Cemetery, Marshfield.
