I was deeply saddened to hear that Harry Blair had passed on. As a child abuse investigator for Northampton County from 86-91,a child advocate in the early 90's, and a child therapist for the last 10 years, I came to respect and admire Mr.Blair's dedication to the safety and welfare of children. He could be a very intimidating figure on the bench, with his pipe and his poker face, but he had a wry sense of humor and showed great respect for the families and professionals in his courtroom. In Master Blair's courtroom you knew that you could take the stand as a professional and he would not allow you to be bullied. He was a very intelligent and compassionate man who will be greatly missed. In addition, I always admired him for keeping sheep!

As a staff member at Children, Youth and Families Division for 10 years, I worked with Master Blair and came to respect him as a fair and wise judge. He was never one to be intimidated by any situation or person but made the proper and right judgment based on his own understanding. Both staff and the families that stood before him respected him. Nevertheless, he had a wry sense of humor that often helped cut the tension in the courtroom. He was a gentleman and a great man of Northampton County and his presence shall be missed.

I didn't know Mr Blair that well, but, as an employee of Northampton County for many years, I had a chance to talk to him many times when we met in the halls, the elevator or cafeteria. I was impressed when he held the door for me to exit the building and when I thanked him, since very few other men in his position would have done that,he told me that he and I were from the same generation, when men were gentlemen and women were ladies and acted as such. I will never forget his kind gestures and remarks. My condolances and prayers to the family.

As a former employee of the Juvenile Court I was given the task of orientating Harry to Juvenile Probation cases. He caught on fast and was a stern, powerful but fair influence on the children and all who participated in his hearings. He was a personable man and a wonderful guy to work with, and I enjoyed the many trips to his farm to deliver court info.My condolences to his family.

My deepest condolences to the Blair Family and especially his wife, Sue, who was such a close partner with Harry in his long battle. Harry was a dear friend from our days as engineers at the GE Space Division and as an corporate lawyer for our company Fraser-Volpe Corporation. Harry was one of the most intelligent men that I met in all my years as an engneer and President of Fraser- Volpe Corporation. Harry had a special knack of disecting the most complex problem, putting it in plain words and then transfer it back to a compelling legal argument. Harry's contribution to Fraser-Volpe as legal consul was a significant factor in the growth and success of the company. On a personal level he assisted me and my family on numerous occasions and his advice was invaluable to us. He will be greatly missed and we will remember him in our prayers. My God's peace be with him.
