Harry Alquin Bradley

Harry Alquin Bradley passed away at the University of Iowa Hospital surrounded by his loved ones on December 29, 2022. Visitation will be held Thursday January 5, 2023 from 4:00PM to 7:00 PM at Runge Mortuary, 838 E. Kimberly Rd, Davenport, IA. A funeral will occur Friday January 6, 2023 with a viewing at 9:30 AM and mass at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Victory, 4105 N. Division St, Davenport, IA. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com.
Harry was born on May 11, 1946 in Creston, Iowa to Hubert and Bernardine (Baker) Bradley. Harry graduated from Lenox High School in 1964. He graduated from Clarinda Community College in 1966. He also attended the University of Iowa for a period of time. Harry served in the army during the Vietnam War where he achieved the Bronze Service Star and was an Expert Rifleman. Following the war, Harry got an apprenticeship at Alcoa where he continued to work as a Machinist for 35 years.
Harry married Laurel Borg on November 14, 1970. They were happily married for 35 years, two sons, Shawn and Shane, came from this union. Laurel proceeded Harry in Death on April 27, 2006.
Harry was a season ticket holder for the Iowa Hawkeyes for 45 years. He rarely missed a game and he rarely returned home with his voice intact. Harry loved to golf with his sons and friends. Harry bowled on several leagues for 40+ years, including the "Midway Mixers" and "King Pins" at Leisure Lane's and the Alcoa League "AM Hawkeyes" at Big River Bowl. He once achieved bowling perfection with a 300 game.
It was at the bowling alley where Harry met Miss Jorja Inloes Jensen. They were united in marriage June 14, 2014, and she filled the remainder of his years with love and companionship. Everyone that knows them could see how much they adored each other. Together, they enjoyed traveling, attending their grandkids activities, visiting family and the occasional trip to the casino.
Harry is survived by his loving wife, Jorja, two sons, Shawn (Jennifer) Bradley, of Ankeny, and Shane (Lori) Bradley of Davenport, and two step-daughters, Angie (Jay) Harris of Blue Grass, and Amy (Todd) Guerrero of LeClarie. He has four grandchildren, Nolan, Katie, Emma and Chase, step grandchildren, Zach (Aly) Harris, Brennan (Erin) Harris, Katie Harris, Lindsey (Rob) Frank, Dan, Devin and Nick Guerrero and step great grandchildren, Alyssa, Sydnie, Maysen, Gracianna, Skylar, Lillie, Ava and Mila.
Harry's siblings include 4 brothers, Tom (Debbie) Bradley of Molino, FL, Donald (Sandy) Bradley of Kansas City, MO, Patrick (Terri) Bradley of Warrensburg, MO, and Mike (Vicky) Bradley of Osceola. Four sisters, Theresa (Ken) Luce of Oakley, KS, Anita (Paul) Longfellow of Lenox, Linda (Mike) Beaman of Johnston, and Rose (Gary) Sucher of Blair, NE, and Sister In-Law Betty Bradley of Creston. Along with several in-laws, nieces and nephews, and extended relatives.
Harry is proceeded in death by his parents, Hubert and Bernardine Bradley, his first wife, Laurel Bradley, brother, Hubert "Hub" Bradley, and Goddaughter, Annette Bradley.

So sorry to hear about Harry. I worked with him at Alcoa, one of the nicest guys I´ve ever met, always so laid back and easygoing. My condolences to his family, may he rest in peace.

Our condolences Shawn and Shane of the passing of Harry. Many memories of your parents are enlightening to my soul. Side note, Harry taught me how to tie a full and half Windsor knot for H.S. graduation. I still tie a tie the way he taught it.
