Hi dad in heaven. I hope you are dancing with my mom all over the celestial heavens with all the angels. Especially our precious Jake. He loved to dance with me.
We all miss you and mom and Jake and all. Hugs and kisses from everyone. Please ask God to help my children with any of their problems. And everyone has problems. I´m doing good. No chemo needed for my breast cancer but radiation for 5 days a week for four weeks for sure. God has my back. Thank you God. Look after me and my family Dad. You and mom do your angel thing. I love you dearly. Miss you too much. Love kathy

Our sincere condolences to Harry´s beloved family. "To love and support." That was Harry´s personality and character. Both Doug and I were recipients of Harry´s love, support and encouragement during our times shared at Hickory Ridge Country Club and after as the times in all our lives changed. We will forever cherish his unswerving friendship and support. We can all learn from Harry. To deeply love, be kind and encourage always.
We will miss his phone calls and laughter. May his spirit and legacy that continues to live in his family bring strength and guide them now and forever.
In peace, hope and love,
Doug & Cathy Harper

A consumate gentleman, sailor, husband, friend.I was so happy to hear and read about his visit to Pearl Harbor earlier last year! He and Anna were dancing friends from the Chicopee Elks with my parents Bob and Muriel Dexter in the 70's. I loved hearing all their stories. RIP Harry.Condolences to all family and friends who may have crossed his path in this life. Love, Carol Dexter Marshall

To the family of HMCS (E8) Harry Chandler, daughters Kathleen Fahey of North Palm Beach FL and Carole Anne Cowles (David) of Venice FL, and extended families,
I offer my deepest thoughts, condolences and prayers regarding the passing of this fine sailor. As a former sailor myself who also left Holyoke High School early
in my senior year in February 1962 before my graduation, but to have my diploma received by my family in June 1962 while I was still in training. I can surely understand the desire to "be a sailor" like Harry Chandler and that of my oldest brother, retired EMCM (E9) Richard Bergeron. Although I didn´t stay in the US Navy after having participated in Naval combat (Vietnam) aboard my aircraft carrier in 1965, I continued my service with the USAF Reserve at Westover AFB. Now my thoughts in closing are for HHCS Harry Chandler who not only served his country so well at Pearl Harbor and other duty stations and oceans, but for his continued service for an additional 34 years in the United States Naval Reserve. HMCS Harry Chandler as now taken his final cruise on the waves of all the oceans with many peace doves flying over him. For his service to our country and the United States Navy I offer up to him a slow hand salute. Hand Salute!!!

Harry was a longtime friend of my first husband, Bob Viamari. I have never met a more positive, upbeat, loving person! By example, Harry showed us how we should live. My sympathy and prayers go out to his family. May Harry rest in peace and love.
