Harry Ernest Herman - 84, passed away in the peace of our Lord, Jesus Christ, on March 12, 2024 in Hayward, California. Beloved father of Melissa and beloved grandfather of Matthew; Harry is the first of ten children of the late Henry Herman, Sr. of Vienna, Austria and Donata de Jesus Herman of Manila Philippines; beloved brother of Herbert, Harold, Helen(†), Hedy(†), Harriet, Hazel, and Humphrey (Sam); Harry was a major in the US Army with 24 years of service, a published author of multiple books, a pastoral minister at Saint Clement Catholic Church and a Senior Knight with the Knights of Columbus. He will be missed. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." (2 Timothy 4: 7-8) Viewing will be held at the Drawing Chapel in Oak Hill Memorial in San Jose on Friday, April 5, 9am-8pm. Mass will be celebrated at Church of the Transfiguration in San Jose on Saturday, April 6, 12pm.
