Harry John Thomas Hesselbach

Harry Hesselbach, age 88, passed away peacefully at home on May 18th, 2023, surrounded by family. Harry was born in New York, NY, in August of 1934. After meeting his wife of 60+ years, Rita, the couple moved to Connecticut where they raised their three children, Dan, Lynn, and Cathrine. A talented artist who was always passionate about the arts, Harry and family found their way back to New York City, where Harry, in his later years, worked as a manager at the Guggenheim Museum. Upon retiring, the family moved to North Carolina, where Harry enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, painting, playing cards, going to vineyards, and befriending any animal that came his way. A friend to all creatures, Harry had always been a proud supporter of the Humane Society. Harry will be sadly missed by his beloved wife, Rita, his children: Dan, Lynn, Tim, Cathrine, and Jay, his grandchildren: Michael, Heather, David, Jill, Jason, Suzy, Emily, Nick, Penelope, and Pickle, and his new great-grandson: Hudson.
