I remember Harry from our days at Simpson Elementary where we were teaching neighbours. I best remember his sense of humour and fun, his service to his students, and his good looks. My thoughts are with his family at this sad time.

My heartfelt condolences. I am very saddened by the news of Harry. I taught with him at North Poplar Elem in the 90"s. I always found him to be a fun, dedicated and responsible teacher. All the best. (Dormick Park Elem.)

My sincerest condolances to all of Harry's loved ones. My memories of Harry are many .. from the days of Simpson Elem to the days with Special Ed at the board office. I especially remember the beautiful photo of his new daughter and how proud he was! Rest in peace Harry .. you will not be forgotten.

I was deeply and personally saddened to hear of Harry's passing. Harry was part of the 'Dunbar Gang' along with a bunch of us that laughed our way through high school. I had the honor of being Harry's date for grad. We 'suffered' pictures in his parent's yard and took off in a funky, blue corvair with a push-button transmission. So cool. God, those were fun times and we were such Dunbar/Kerrisdale brats. I have a few pictures and I shall cherish his memory forever in my heart. Thanks for all the fun Harry - and most sincere and heart felt regards to Harry's family.

No other teacher has ever had the profound effect that Mr. Howard did with my daughter, he gave her not just the gift of reading but the ability to have the confidence in herself to keep on going - Thank you Harry

I didn't know Harry that well although we were in the same classrooms, walked the same halls, were taught by the same teachers, cheered for the same teams, listened to the same music, laughed at the same jokes, and were about the same age. Maybe I know Harry more than I thought. My condolences to his family and friends.

Harry, may you be basking in heaven's glory. I remember our grade 12 days. You had the spirit of one who enjoyed an innocent prank which brought life to the corridors of learning. These times have not been forgotten.
