Harry KOSSOWAN Obituary
On February 24, 2016, Mr. Harry Kossowan passed away at the age of 94 years.
Harry is lovingly remembered by his sons, Barry (Dianne) and Marvin (Liz), both of Edmonton, six grandchildren: Taras St. Jean (Kori) and great-grandchildren, Katie and Avery; Brad Kossowan; Trevor Kossowan (Karin) and great-granddaughter, Kianna; Lauren Kossowan; Amanda Maciej (Daniel) and great-granddaughter, Royal; Christopher Kossowan (Jesse).
Harry also leaves his longtime companion, Marg Baker; his sister Irene Dolinsky; brother, Vic; and brother, Peter.
Harry was predeceased by his wife, Edna; in 1973.
Harry was one of ten children born to John and Teklia Kossowan.
Harry was a teacher, artist, musician, and jokester.
A Celebration of Harry's Life will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Terwilligar Community Church, 1751 Towne Centre Boulevard, Edmonton, with Reverend Dr. Ken MacDonald officiating.
If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation, 100-119 14 Street NW, Calgary, Alberta T2N 1Z6.
The family is thankful to the staff and nurses at the University of Alberta Hospital, Stroke Ward (4G4), for the care given to Harry during his illness.

Marg - your exceptional love and care for Harry was a joy to watch each day and it was so evident that tha love was shared each and every day. The term "companion" does not adequately describe the love the two of you had for each other. May the memories of the fulness of your hearts together bring joy to you during this time of sorrow.

Remembering Harry and the family when they lived here in Killam and Harry taught school and was the travelling art teacher for the school division. I will treasure the piece of art that he donated to the new hall fund raiser in 1989 which I purchased.Very talented man.

The years are many, since we were young neighbours on Lowe Ave. Your parents were both such beautiful people. My memories of those days are precious.
