Harry Lontz Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 22, 2025.
Hendersonville - Harry Russell Lontz II, known to his faith community as Eushahn, 78, was born in Richmond Indiana on November 12, 1946, and passed away in Hendersonville, NC on August 19, 2025. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Phillip Lontz, and Mary Francis Lontz (Gaar), his sister, Jan Marilyn McGeever (Lontz), his sister Jane Duffy (McManama) and is survived by his sister, Carole "Cat" Lontz Madland, his spouse, Jill Jennette (known to her faith community as Aeptha), daughter Karey Michelle Lontz (Thomas Gregory Van Ness), son, John Phillip Smith Lontz (Chandra Rae Lontz Smith), grandchildren Savannah Francis Lontz, and John Phillip Lontz III; and his beloved Kim Morris (Phillip Morris), and Robin West (Tom West).

Eushahn, known also to his loved ones as "Skip," received degrees in business from The University of Miami, in education from Ball State University, and a specialist degree in counseling; was initiated as a High Priest in the Solomonic tradition of New S.E.E.D. Sanctuary by the late Shakmah Winddrum, graduated from the School of Metaphysics, later serving as their director, and earned a Master Masons degree in Freemasonry in addition to earning his private pilot's license, and serving in the United States Army Reserve Corps. His life was one of care and service, as he took great pride in guiding and caretaking those around him in as many and varied ways as he was capable.

Eushahn spent the last 40 years of his life in the Carolinas where he met his beloved spouse Aeptha, with whom he founded and led Light Haven as a way of sharing his spiritual beliefs with the community. His wife, family, friends, pets, and spiritual practices assisted in guiding him to a peaceful passing, and that ever elusive "good death." Following his peaceful passing he was laid in state for three days according to his beliefs, where those gathered offered him love during his final journey. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Light Haven in Hendersonville, NC.
