Sonny will always be remembered as a compassionate, kind man. He was a respected fireman and friend. Being in the same room with Sonny was like sitting in sunshine. He made you smile and feel good. My many memories of Sonny at Station 9 will remain some of my finest during my fire dept. career.

I met sonny back in 1970 when I 1st became a firefighter. He was one of my mentors who always looked out for everybody. He was a legend in the fire department and there are many funny stories about him. He was a good fireman who had a good time doing it. He will be missed, but his his memories will remain.

I just want to say...Thank you for being a friend...
*****Our Loss, Heavens Gain!*****
Many Prayers have gone up over the years for the family as our friendship has grown. Sonny will be missed by everyone whose lives he touched. I admire
his sacrifices of service to our country, not only in the Navy... But also his 30+ yrs of service to his community thru the fire departments he served and continued to support over those yrs.
Hugs, Prayers and much love to his very special wife, Chippy and the whole
Mahon family. I'm always a phone call away should you need me for anything.
Rest In Peace til we see you on the other side,
Brenda Marsh

Dear Chippy, Mike, Sissy and Melissa,
My heart breaks for each of you. Sonny was a person that you never forget! Although he no longer walks with us, always remember that he walks with our Lord now. No pain and no suffering. Remember all your wonderful times with him to help you get through this rough time.
Gone from our sides, always in our hearts and never ever forgotten.
