Harry J. Manolopoulos
April 7, 1948 - December 12, 2022
Ellicott City, Maryland - We are sad to announce the passing of Harry J. Manolopoulos of Ellicott City, MD, and Mattapoisett, MA. He died at age 74 on December 12, 2022. He was born in Richland, Washington, on April 7, 1948, to John and Elizabeth Manolopoulos. He was the eldest son of seven siblings and grew up in Richland. For college, he majored in business at Eastern Washington State University. Harry was a loving husband to Cassie Manolopoulos for fifty years. He had four daughters; Joanna Ingham, Melodie Manolopoulos, Charissa Ruel, and Tessa Manolopoulos. He enjoyed spending time with his six grandchildren; Marina, Mac, Macy, Harry, Martin, and Margot. Also, he'll be sorely missed at the head of the family table by his son-in-laws; Graeme, Manuel, and Jason. His career as a manager with Bechtel took him all over the world, and he had many stories about his job in procurement. His favorite thing after work was to put on his "uniform," and he was an avid fan of C-Span news. He was the ultimate family man with a sense of humor that made everyone laugh. In his retirement years, he enjoyed playing golf and spending the summers in Mattapoisett. A private memorial ceremony with close family members will be held at Cushing Cemetery in Mattapoisett.

Worked with Harry in Edmonton, Alberta 2012-15. His skill in crafting agreements with suppliers was phenomenal. He never backed down from any challenge and he instilled that tough mentality with his team members. Glad I was able to work with him during that limited time- he is missed as a colleague and friend.

I remember when Harry and I worked in Lake Tahoe filling propane tanks in the snow and living in an motel apartment. We went to the Sahara, watched the Drifters put on a midnight show and had a ball gambling. Harry was a hell of a lot of fun to pal around with. -Chris Hanson

We all grew up on the river in Richland, and we had hundreds of basketball games on Worlton´s court right next door to Harry´s house. He was good at all sports and always had good humor and an easy going personality. His sisters were beautiful too. They were Greek and their mom and dad could get really animated when discussing a topic and then just start laughing. It was the best neighborhood and Harry and his family were a big part of it. Life is short and eternity is real - John 3:16. Don´t delay.

Harry was a good guy. Last saw him at our 40th RHS Class Reunion. Always enjoyed his company.
Fond memories of him, his brother Chris, and his dad -- a terrific human being and wonderful Little League coach.

Harry's humanity, humor, and generosity of spirit will be greatly missed.

Sincerely,
Doug Conrad

I remember Harry from kindergarten on. He was always such a nice guy, easy-going and funny. He knew a lot about geography and shared many stories. Condolences to his family and other friends.
