Like parents, we often appreciate a coach's influence as we mature. Harry was an excellent teacher. I "fought" him a bit as a player and appreciate the many things he taught me as I've grown older.

You and Harry were wonderful neighbors across from us on S. Abilene in Portales. Harry, an exemplary coach, leaves many marvelous memories of his years as coach of the national champion Greyhounds.
