I remember what a fine gentleman that my dear friend Harry was to my son (Caleb) and I. I was touched by the pride Harry had telling of his service to our nation during WWII; And proud he should be too! He was a fine husband to his special wife, Florence and father to his children, and one of the finest and most memorable friends in my life. I remember telling him that I had wished I would have had a father like him. The fragrance of memories that I have related to this fine man is soooo very pleasant indeed and always will be.

Harry arranged my first interview, and I got first 'real' job at TPL. 19 years later I'm a proud employee of Del Monte Foods and I can't help but to think that he played a very important part in it.

One of the most wonderful men I have ever met in my life. I was a new sales rep in my late 20's when I had the distinct privilege of calling on Harry at Fox Grocery. He helped me mature into a very successful salesman and became my favorite buyer. He always helped me look good to my company every chance he could and I will always remember him as my Mentor in the business. I think of him quite often almost 40 years later and I am very, very saddened to learn of his passing. The world should be full of men of Harry's calibre, it would be a much better place.
