Homegoing services for Mr. Harvey Jenrette of Gibsonton, FL, will be held Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the Springhill Missionary Baptist Church, 8119 E. Dr. Marin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Tampa, Florida 33619, Reverend Eugene Garnett, Pastor with Pastor Dorothy J. Ferguson, Hands of God Ministries, Inc. officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, Tampa, FL.
He was born on November 4, 1935 in Shallotte, NC to the union of the late Christine Slade Jenrette and Albert Jenrette. He was married to the late Theola Jenrette for over 50 years.
God called our Daddy, Brother, Uncle, Granddaddy and Godfather home on August 19, 2014.
Harvey was a dedicated member of Hands of God Ministries for years. He was a retired mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry, Wayne and Fred Jenrette; daughter, Alzada Morgan, son, Charles Hammond; son-in-law, Ronnie Walls and special friends, Ms. Christina and Ms. Jerrie.
He leaves behind his daughters, Yvonne Jenrette, Sandra Ashley, Linda Jenrette, Annie Hammond, Sylvia Jenrette (Rick), Ida Hammond, Susie Hammond (Josh), Terrie Fribbley, Kolonda Hall (Steve) and Gloria Forman; his sons, Harvey Jenrette, Jr. (Frannie), Michael Jenrette (Constance), Douglas Forman, Jr. (Beverly), Melvin Forman (Saudia) and Corey Forman (Brandy); goddaughters, Anna Vincent, Janice Abercrombie, Tiffany Corbett, Cynthia and Valerie Fernandez; close friends, Fred and Irwin; his brothers, Willie James Jenrette (Georgia) and Jasper Jenrette; his sisters, Cornella Livingston (Thurman), Brenda Marlow (Larry) and Eveda Gause (George); a host of grandchildren, nieces and cousins and other relatives and friends.
There will be viewing from 5:00 – 9:00 P.M. Friday, August 29, 2014 at the Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida 33605.
