Hayward Thomas

What a wonderful man. I can still hear his laugh as he and my father would joke around. Two old friends now reunited.

This is still really hard to deal with We miss you so much You were a father to me when you didn’t have to be and for that I love you missing you is one of the hardest things I will have to do!

My sincere condolences to the Thomas family.

He was a great mentor for me when I started at the WCSO in 1981.He could always made me laugh. Thanks LT.

So sorry for your lose. Hayward was a good person and a great mayor for our community. He will be missed. Rest in peace my friend.

Working with Hayward as Deputy Sheriffs in the 80's is some of the best memories I have today. He was a great man and I will miss him dearly. Rest in Peace, Brother.

I enjoyed working with Hayward at Walton County Sheriff's Office. He was a hoot to be around. He definitely had a way of making everyone around laugh and smile. He will truly be missed.

I'm sorry to hear this news! Hayward has been in my life...all my life. He took care of me in church when I was a baby and he encouraged me an adult. He will be missed I know. Many prayers for the family!

I only have fond memories of my time spent with Hayward! We grew up together and spent many miles and hours together on our bikes! It was amazing how we could completely destroy a bicycle in just one year! Even though we did not spend much time together in our older years, our younger years were the best!
