HAZEL MAE HENNEMANChange in Service TimeHazel Mae (Smith) Henneman, formerly of 81st Street, Niagara Falls, died Friday, June 6, 2008 in the Le Roy Village Green Nursing Home. She was 96.She was born in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania on December 8, 1911, a daughter of the Horace A. and Dora (Powell) Smith. She attended schools in Pennsylvania before moving to Niagara Falls in 1929. She married John “Kenneth” Henneman in Cloe, Pennsylvania on October 5, 1932. Mrs. Henneman and her husband, John “Ken” were longtime members of Riverside Presbyterian Church. She belonged to the Riverside Workers, the Home Bureau and enjoyed teaching arts and crafts. Survivors include three children: Richard J. Henneman (Mary) of Mason, Michigan, Julia Ann Pearce (Lance) of Winchester, VA and Susan G. Norton (Donald ) of Stafford, NY; a brother, John Smith both of Tucson, AZ and a sister, Cela Wessel of Milwaukee, WI; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by her husband, John, on January 16, 2002 and by two brothers, Preston and Marion Smith. Friends may call Tuesday from 10 AM - 11 AM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, 8622 Buffalo Avenue, where funeral services will be held following visitation at 11 AM with the Rev. Laura Norris-Buisch officiating. The interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton, NY.
