News Death Notice
ROBERTS, Hazel S. age 88 of Hamilton passed away at her residence on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at 6:51 AM. She was born in Hamilton on February 20, 1923 the daughter of Albert and Alice (Scott) Cope. Hazel loved shopping, playing cards, and country music. On October 23, 1942 in Hamilton, she married the love of her life, Jimmie Roberts. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Jimmie Roberts of Hamilton; eight children, Alice (Paul) Webb of Fairfield Township, Lucy DeFazio of Hamilton, Gary (Jamie) Roberts of Tennessee, Tim (Gerri) Roberts of Hamilton, Bo (Gary Rollins) Roberts of Cincinnati, Candy (Mike) Heaberlin, Lena (Jeff) Harrison, and Penny (Lou) Filgis, all of Hamilton; 24 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three nephews, Jay, Ricky, and Rod Stone; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Jimmie Roberts Jr. and Raymond Roberts; and two sisters, Lucy McCudden and Alberta Stone. Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Friday, November 4, 2011 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Scott Miller of Timberhill Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Hazel was gracious and warm-hearted towards me the few times we met. I pray God places His hands of comfort and grace upon you, and gives you added strength in her absence.

mamaw, i will miss u dearly. i know i havent seen u in yrs, but my memories of u will keep u alive in my heart. i always thought we had a special bond none of the other grandkids had bcuz i was named after u. u had the biggest heart & one heck of a cook. i know u & dad are looking down on me & i can only hope im makin the two of u proud. u will be greatly missed.
