Dear Dean, Melissa & Dana,

I learned of Heather's passing only this morning, at the market, where I first met her and Dana several years ago.

Since then, we spoke whenever we met and finally she and her puppeteers came to our school to delight our students.

I am thankful that I met Heather, even though I knew her only through our Saturday morning shopping at the market and neighbouring stores. She was a beautiful soul and her smile lingers with me yet.

I am truly sorry that she could not be with her family and friends for many more years.

I only knew of Heather through Melissa, but from what I've heard she was a remarkable woman and a devoted wife and mother. I would like to offer my condolences to the family and let you know that my prayers are with you in this difficult time.

I had the privilege of being with Heather at the Encircling Light Conference in Whitehorse and was with her shopping for the picture she so lovingly choose for you on our rainy, last day walk at the river. I will always remember her love for her family, warm friendship, and joy for life, Her smile lingers as she waved us all goodbye the last morning getting up before sunrise to do so.

I learned of Heather's crossing of the threshhold while at the Goetheanum in Switzerland. I met Heather in Edmonton in July 2008 and then again at the Encircling Light Conference in Whitehorse in August 2009. She was and is a brave and generous human being. I am grateful to have known her in the last phase of her life.

My son had Heather as a Waldorf teacher. I was saddened to read she had passed away. We had conversations about theatre and puppetteering. It was a gift to watch her perform and connect with the children at Waldorf.

Heather was my cousin - her father and mine (Phil Nicolle) were brothers. My clearest memory of her was when my sister Shelley and I visited Harvey and Pat to try out the new mustang - it was about mid 60's, I think. She was very young, and laughing and a lot of fun! My sympathy to you and all her family at her untimely death.
