With a sad heart we announce the passing of Douglas "Scott" Updike, Jr., 34 of Boynton Beach who passed away on Sunday April 8. He was born on March 3, 1984 in Boynton Beach. He was the son of the late Douglas S. Updike Sr. and Erin Ledenbach of Sunrise. Scott was the former owner and operator of A Plus Carpet Care in West Palm Beach. He enjoyed spending time riding motorcycles, enjoyed a good game of pool, along with fishing and camping outdoors with his friends and family. Scott had a big heart and was always there to help others. He will truly be missed by family, friends and all that knew him. In addition to his mother he is survived by his brothers, Rick & Curtis Updike and his sisters, Lindsey Churchill and Christina Robison. Celebration of Life Services will be privately held at the request of the family. Scott fought a difficult battle with drug addiction.
