My brother and sisters knew the Carranzas from the hearts and memories of our own parents, Dick and Marty Hamilton, who lived across the hall in Darmstadt; we send our deepest sympathy. Bruce and Brenda, and our brother Mark, who welcomed my parents to the joys of heaven, and our sisters Martha and Chris, heard our parents, especially our mother, speak of Hector and Bertha often with great affection. Our hearts are heavy for you, our prayers are with you.

Hector was a dear friend and colleague. We worked together as track and field officials for many years, traveling to numerous local, regional and state track and field competitions. Hector was the first Master Certified Track and Field Official in El Paso and mentored hundreds of aspiring officials as we learned from his expertise.
Hector made a real difference in the lives of students with disabilities as he worked diligently in the EPISD Special Ed program at Burgess.
Thanks to God for the friendship and love provided to all of us by Hector Carranza!
