Heidi was my host mum while I was studying at UNCW from the UK in 2021-2022. Heidi was the most amazing host and we created many memories together. Heidi was a very special and unique person, and I´m sure is dearly missed but all that knew her until her final days. RIP Heidi I wish I´d known sooner.

Heidi, I will always cherish our memories. You were a very special, generous and kind person who I shall never forget. My prayers will always be with you. I will miss you and all of our phone conversations. Love always, Judy Gentry

I will never forget you, Heidi. You meant a lot to me. I was born at home in a little town in Bavaria, Germany, which was the house where Heidi lived with her parents and her married sister (my mother). So, she has known me since day one of my life.
As the sisters (my mother and Heidi) are almost a generation apart (Heidi was a very late child of my grandmother), I grew up with an older sister rather than an aunt. All through our life we were never really able to separate between the two in our minds until we grew much older.
Heidi, your life was not always easy, but you have found peace.
